Raku is a style of pottery that originated in Japan, and involves removing the item from being fired and then cooling rapidly outside the kiln in organic material, resulting in a stunning, truly one of a kind appearance.

Rake pieces reveal greater depth and character the more you study them and view them in different lighting. They are show stoppers as centerpieces on a table, mantle or as a gift. These pieces are one of a kind and no two will ever be alike!

Raku pieces are decorative only, and are not food safe nor should they hold water (gently wiping down with water is fine.) These pieces are hand thrown and glazed.
